Fearless young swimmers crossing miles of sea to raise awareness about sewage pollution

Big Challenges

The Big Swim

‘The Big Swim’ is a series of long-distance swimming events by young people motivated by a better future with cleaner waters.

Swimmers across the UK are falling ill due to contaminated water. Big Swim challenges are one way these young people are helping draw attention to the problem of sewage pollution.

How to Take Part

There are many ways to join the fight against sewage pollution. Whether you sign a petition, join a swim, or share information.

It all starts with awareness. Learn about the issues and use your own platform, big or small, to educate others about the harmful effects of polluted waters.

Level the Water Initiative

In addition to the awareness campaign about polluted waters, The Big Swim raises funds to support young swimmers in the 10 Parishes area.

With the Level the Water initiative, we help young people access funding for swimming lessons, lifeguard training, and to become swimming instructors.
